Letter for Parents - December 2014

The school will close at 1pm on Friday, 19th December. The school reopens for the start of the Spring Term on Tuesday, 6th January at 8.30am.
Dear Parent,

As you will be aware the school has celebrated many excellent achievements during 2014. We are extremely proud of the many successes by the students in a variety of activities none more so than the summer GCSE results regarding student progression.

The school will close at 1pm on Friday, 19th December and there will be a limited bus sevice. Please ensure your child has made arrangements to make a safe journey home. The school reopens for the start of the spring term on Tuesday, 6th January at 8.30am.

In the event of extreme weather conditions details of any school closure will be available from the school website from 7.30 am. We will always endeavour to open the school but on occasions for the health and safety of students it may have to close. Where possible we will use the text system to inform you of any school closure.

During the cold winter season students may wear the grey pullover under the school blazer; the jumper is available from uniform supplier in Bolton and Farnworth. Students may also wear a black coat to and from school. In the event of snow the pavements are slippery; students may wear suitable foot wear to and from school however, black school shoes must be worn in the building.

For news and updates on the school, events and activities please visit the school website at: www.msj.bolton.sch.uk

I wrote to you at the beginning of the year informing you that I was moving to a new post in January. This situation has changed and I will now be remaining in my post as headteacher at Mount St Joseph School.

May I take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and to wish you and your family a peaceful Christmas and a happy New Year.

Yours sincerely,

P Roach
