Career Development

Careers week and choosing options play an important role in a student's development. That is why we ensure we give them the best chance possible to plan for the future.

Coming up we have our annual 'Careers Week', during this time we invite many outside agencies, colleges, and businesses into school to talk to our students about various different options and career paths that they may wish to begin in the future. We have found this to be a real eye-opener for many of our students and can make them aware that a job that they possibly thought would be unattainable to them can be achieved with the right GCSE options, college choices, hard work, and perseverance.

With our careers' information starting in year 7 and progressing right through until the end of year 11, we feel that having regular career events, talks, and advice being given, all the latest information can be on hand for students that need it most, and get the help and support they want to help plan for the future.

Our Year 9 students will be picking their options in the next few weeks, as such we will be having presentations on each subject and offering them detailed information on what each course entails. Once this information is available we will post it on our 'Careers Page' which also contains many of the upcoming Career events such as the ones listed below.
