Enquiries About Examination Results and Appeals

GCSE Examination Results – ‘Enquiry About Results and Appeals’

It is possible for the school to make an application for a re-mark on behalf of a candidate.

The school requires written consent from a student to make an application for re-mark for clerical checks and a review of marking.

An application can result in the following outcomes for the candidate:

  • Your original mark is lowered, so your final grade may be lower than the original grade you received.
  • Your original mark is confirmed as correct, so there is no change to your grade.
  • Your original mark is raised, so your final grade may be higher than the original grade you received.

Please see the schools Examinations Officer Mrs Egerton for more information and a consent form if you wish to proceed with an enquiry application.

Candidates must also be aware that they must fund any financial costs incurred. (Details of costs are available from Mrs Egerton)

If the initial grade is found to be incorrect and the grade is increased the school will refund any costs to the student.
