At Mount St Joseph we begin the transition process in year 5. Here you will find a brief overview of the main events we hold and the invitations we extend to help prepare primary school students for their future at MSJ.

Year 5

• Year 5 students invited to attend our Open Evening
• Mrs McKeown visits year 5 students throughout the year and attends parents' evenings/afternoons
• Year 5 students invited to join us for one of our "master class" sessions
• Year 5 students invited to attend one of our full class "taster days" with the opportunity to meet key staff
• Year 5 students invited to attend MSJ productions and shows

Year 6

• Year 6 students invited to attend our Open Evening
• Mrs McKeown visits year 6 students throughout the year and attends parents' evenings/afternoons
• Year 6 data received following agreement by Local Authority
• Year 6 students who will be joining us are invited to attend our Welcome Evening to meet their form teachers, see their form rooms and meet key staff
• Transition Days: year 6 students join us for two exciting days, allowing them to see their new school, get a feel for it, meet their form group and some of their teachers
