The Medical Mavericks Academy aims to inspire the next generation of medics and scientists by taking real medical and sports science equipment into schools, colleges, and events all over the UK.

Our Careers' advisor Mrs. Richards arranged for the Mavericks to come into school so that our Year 9's could take part in and have a look at some of the things that they could possibly look forward to doing if they choose a career in the healthcare or science industry in the future. 

Some activities the students got to take part in included taking blood, recording and printing an ECG, keyhole surgery, seeing inside their body with an ultrasound machine, checking blood pressure, and much more! We would like to say a big thank you to the Medical Mavericks for coming into school and making today a memorable and unique learning experience for our students.
